What is AI Producer?
AI Producer is an AI video editing agent by OpusClip. It turns raw footage of you talking to camera into a finished video: it can cut filler words and pauses, and add captions, motion graphics, b-roll, music, and sound effects.
What footage works best?
A video of one person talking to camera: an MP4, MOV, or WebM file with audible speech. Multi-camera edits and screen recordings are not supported yet.
What is a reference, and do I need one?
A reference is optional. Pick a style preset on this page, paste a link to a video on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube, or upload one, and AI Producer recreates its captions, motion graphics, and transitions on your footage.
Where does the editing happen?
Send & Start opens your project in Claude, through the AI Producer connector, or in ChatGPT, through the AI Producer plugin. Ask for the edit in your own words there; each follow-up request updates the same project instead of starting over.
Is AI Producer free?
You can start for free. The AI that plans your edit runs on your Claude or ChatGPT plan, and some editing steps spend credits from your OpusClip account. The Getting started guide explains how credits are charged.
What do I get at the end?
One MP4 at up to 1080p and 30 fps, in 9:16, 16:9, or 1:1 to match your footage. Download it, or share a link to the project.
